The Lowerland “Rietskaap” is a free range pastured sheep. They live in mixed mob grazing herds of ruminants that move daily to new segments of pasture or veld.
Contents: 10kg (half a carcass) of Lowerland Rietskaap, vacuum sealed and frozen.
PREPACKED and portioned into two options:
OPTION A – the braai & potjie pack: everything cut up (neck and shanks for stew; ribs into riblets; the rest into chops)
OPTION B – low & slow / on the go: Shoulder whole; leg halved; rib whole; loins chops; neck & shanks – stew cuts.
Shelf life: 4 to 12 months in freezer (below 0 degrees Celsius). Once defrosted, 3-5 days in refrigerator.
Storage: Store meat in freezer and let it thaw slowly (in the refrigerator) for best results. Bring to room temperature before cooking.
This is lamb / mutton that tastes like meat! Our suggestion is to not add too much stuff and let the flavour speak for itself.
